This really is the simplest, most basic marketing test that you can do. Take a look at your direct competitors. Study their web sites and online marketing. What do you really like?
Make a list. Be very specific. Print out pictures of the pages and paste them up on the wall.
And then, look again at yours. Do you do anything that compares to their good stuff? Should you?
And what are they missing? Not just your competitors, but you, too.
Marketing isn’t rocket science. It’s much, much harder. And for the most part, it’s not even science. But it is possible to do the work and figure out what you need to do. Then you just have to hire the talented and experienced folks who can help you to do that.
This is not a one time exercise. Someone in your organization needs to perform this same analysis no less frequently than once a month.
