This exercise builds on yesterday’s. If you haven’t completed that lesson, Write One Paragraph Each Hour, do that first.
Today, take your eight paragraphs and read them through once. Mark any obvious errors, but don’t attempt to fix anything yet. Read the whole piece from beginning to end. Since it was written in a disjointed fashion you might find it rough and in need of smoothing. Resist the urge to change too much before you’ve finished the first read through.
Ask yourself first: do these paragraphs work together? Do they convey a single idea well? Do you need to simply work on transitions or do you need to replace major sections?
Then get to work and see if you can shape these eight paragraphs into something readable.
