I can get by with less sleep.
I’m not that sick.
I know what I’m doing.
I can eat anything.
I can drink coffee all day long and it will never affect me.
I don’t need to read the instructions.
I’ll get around to that eventually.
I can handle the pain.
I’ll start saving and investing later—I can’t afford to now
I’ll get in shape later.
I don’t need to vote—my vote doesn’t matter.
Other people don’t want to work.
I understand history.
I know how the world works
I can do it all myself.

You don’t pull any punches, do you? Ouch!
Great list!
You asked for a few additions…
- I’ll do it when things settle down.
- Tomorrow will be a better day.
- I need not try, because I can’t do it anyway.
- She/he won’t talk to me, so I won’t ask.
Excellent additions!
Here’s another from me: Everything was better some time in the past.
I’ll just put a patch on this, and fix it next week.
I like it. I’m from the “There, I fixed it tradition.” Strictly bailing wire and chewing gum (maybe a piece of inner tube). Duct tape is way to fancy and limited to finish work. And ducts.
- If I just work a *bit* harder I can save this friendship / relationship
- I will make it all work, as soon as I’ve quit this job
